Win2000 server或Win2000 advance server的用户都知道,在配置成Win2000终端服务器的计算机上安装软件，必须从“控制面板”中运行“添加／删除程序”，一般常用软件如Photoshop6.0、wps2000、王码五笔9801、3dsmax3.1、Flash5.0、visual stdio等常用软件都可正常安装，但用此法安装office 2000时，却无论如何也行不通。绝望之极，于是到http://www.microsoft.com转了一圈，才知道在Win2000 server中安装Office 2000时，唯一的办法是用微软网上提供的Office2000自定义安装工具安装。
由于未见介绍这方面的资料，特向大家介绍Office 2000在Win2000 server下的安装方法:
1、到http://www.microsoft.com/office/ork下载Office 2000资源工具箱，文件名为orktools.exe，文件大小为9，143，832 字节。2、运行orktools.exe，将office 2000资源工具箱安装到Win2000 server。
3、生成MST文件及安装所需参数：
(1)单击开始--程序--Microsoft office Tools--Microsoft Office 2000 Resource Kit Tools--Custom Installation Wizard，出现Custom Installation Wizard对话框，单击next；
(2)在open the MSI file对话框里，浏览office2000安装盘，找到位于根目录下的DATA1.MSI，单击next；
(3)出现open the MST file对话框，使open an existing MST file选项为选中状态，单击浏览找到office 2000资源工具箱提供的MST文件，路径为U:\Program Files\ORKTools\ToolBox\Tools\Terminal Server Tools\TERMSRVR.MST（我的Office 2000资源工具箱安装于U盘)，单击next；
(4)出现select the MST file to save对话框，输入要保存的文件名及路径(图1)，单击next；
(6)出现remove previous versions对话框后，如你的计算机未安装过老版本的office，单击next；
(7)出现set feature installation states对话框，(如图2)，可根据需要取舍某些安装选项，单击next；
(9)出现add file to the installation对话框后，如不增加文件，单击next；
(10)出现add registry entries对话框后，按默认设置，单击next；
(11)出现add，modify，or remove shortcuts对话框后(图3)，根据你需要进行某些快捷方式的设置，完成后，单击next；
(13)出现add installations and run programs对话框后，按默认设置，单击next；
(14)出现customize Outlook installation option对话框后，按默认设置，单击next；
(15)出现customize IE 5 installation option对话框后，将do not install IE 5选项选中，单击next；
(16)出现modify setup properties对话框后，按默认设置，单击next；
(17)出现save changes对话框后，单击finish；
